Pricing

How much does junk removal cost?

Pricing is based on how much space your items take up in the trailer. A quick curbside pickup starts at $79, a single item from inside the home runs $89 to $115, a quarter load is $120 to $165, a half load $200 to $300, three-quarters $375 to $450, and a full trailer load $475 to $550. Your exact price is always confirmed before any work begins.

Is there a minimum charge?

Quick curbside pickups start at $79. Once the trailer comes out, or the job involves multiple items, a $120 minimum applies.

What is included in the price?

Everything — the labour, the loading, the hauling and the disposal fees. There are no separate fuel surcharges or dump fees added afterwards.

Do you charge extra for stairs or difficult access?

Not usually. Stairs, tight hallways and awkward corners are normal for us and are factored into the quote up front rather than added as a surprise. Genuinely extreme access is the only exception, and we would tell you before starting.

Why are concrete, dirt and roofing priced differently?

Because the landfill charges by weight, not by space. A trailer of concrete or roof shingles weighs roughly three times what the same trailer of household junk weighs, so it costs far more to dispose of. We quote those materials by weight so the number is honest rather than adding a surcharge later.

How do I pay, and when?

After the job is done. We accept card, Venmo, Cash App and Zelle. No deposit is required to book.

Booking and timing

How quickly can you come?

Often the same day or the next, especially in Meridian and Garden City. Call or text (208) 391-2928 and we will give you our soonest available window.

Do I need to be home?

Not always. If the items are in the garage, on the driveway, or somewhere else we can access, we can do the job and send you photos when it is finished. For anything inside the house we usually need someone to let us in.

Can I just send a photo instead of filling out the form?

Yes, and it is often the fastest route. Text a photo of your items to (208) 391-2928 with your city and we will text back a ballpark price.

What if I have more than I estimated?

We confirm the final price on site before loading anything. If the pile turns out bigger than the photos suggested, you will hear the new number first and can decide from there.

What areas do you serve?

Meridian, Boise, Eagle, Kuna, Star and Garden City, plus surrounding parts of the Treasure Valley. If you are nearby and do not see your city listed, call and ask — there is a good chance we can still get to you.

What we take

What can you haul away?

Furniture, mattresses, appliances, hot tubs, garage and estate cleanouts, yard and garden debris, construction and remodel debris, electronics, and general household clutter. If it is taking up space and you want it gone, ask.

What will you not take?

We cannot take hazardous materials — paint, solvents, pesticides, motor oil, asbestos, medical waste, or anything flammable or corrosive. Ada County has separate household hazardous waste drop-off for those. We also cannot take anything requiring a licensed contractor to remove.

Do you take appliances with freon, like fridges and freezers?

Yes. The landfill charges a per-unit fee for refrigerant handling, which we build into your quote up front. Wherever possible we take metal appliances to a scrap recycler instead.

Can you take a mattress?

Yes, and it is one of our most common jobs. Most curbside bins will not take a mattress and many services refuse them, so it is usually the thing people call us about first. See our mattress removal page.

Do you remove hot tubs?

Yes — draining, disassembly of the cabinet and shell, and haul-away. Hot tubs are quoted individually because of the weight and the work involved.

Can you take tires or electronics?

Yes to both. Tires carry a small per-tire disposal fee. Electronics are free to dispose of at the Ada County landfill, so they cost you nothing extra beyond the space they take up.

Where it goes

Do you recycle or donate, or does everything go to the landfill?

Whenever an item is still usable we route it to Goodwill or Idaho Youth Ranch rather than the landfill, and scrap metal goes to a recycler. Just tell us when you book if there is anything you would particularly like donated.

Where does the rest end up?

The Ada County landfill on Seamans Gulch Road in Garden City, which is where household waste from Ada County is legally required to go.

About us

Are you licensed and insured?

HaulWorks is a registered Idaho LLC. We are working on adding insurance and will say so plainly here once that is in place rather than claiming it before it is true.

Who actually shows up?

Jeff, the owner, is on every job. It is not a franchise, a call centre or a rotating crew, which is also why you get a straight answer on the phone rather than a scripted quote.

Still Have a Question?

Call or text and you will get a real answer from the owner, not a script.
